First outing for our new Race Tops giving Bristol riders a team identity at home and away during 2012. Well done to all our riders who raced in the sun at our 4th Winter race today.

Marcus Bloomfield Coaching Clinic. On Sunday 20th Nov 2011 at the Tumps, 16 riders had the opportunity to benefit from the experience of the professional and #1 British rider (and Bristol Club member) Marcus Bloomfield. In the 4 hour coaching clinic all aspects of racing were covered with insight given on warm ups, pumping technique, jumping and starts. Dual racing and relays gave a real competitive edge to the event and rounded off the day nicely.
We would still be there as the shouts were for more…..more!!! Big thanks to Marcus, his enthusiasm and knowledge left everyone thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to get advice from the best. The kids all took something away from the day on how to improve their riding and most importantly, all want to come back for more!

SOLD OUT – SOLD OUT – As we expected – places for the clinic sold out almost immediately it was advertised. Places are limited to 16 so everyone gets the most out of the day. We hope to run another session in early 2012 – so look out for the announcement on our website and facebook in the new year. Well done Bristol! 6th place in the club team competition – South West Regional Series for 2011.
Fantastic outcome for the club and all our riders who travel up and down the South West attending Regional races throughout the year. Congratulations to you all and a special pat on the back to our 1st place riders: Alfie Bax: 1st in 7yrs, Dan Pople: 1st in Cruiser 17-29yrs and Neil Hopes: 1st in Cruiser 40-44yrs. Bristol Regional 2011 – What a Scorcher!
2012 date just announced – Sunday 29th April.
Searing temperatures and hot performances made the 2011 Bristol SW Regional a day when records tumbled. Beating the 2011 mark for total number of riders competing at a SW event and the greatest number of novices riding; this year’s Bristol event surpassed all expectations.
Outstanding racing from riders in the Elite category and local riders swamping the opposition in the Novice racing, saw the club put on a show which ranks amongst the best in its 30yr history.
A big thanks to everyone – riders, parents, sponsors and club officials – who supported the race and made it a day to remember. We hope to see you back at “the Tumps” again soon.

Wednesday Night Racing 2012
Registration nights: from 6pm on Wed 28th March 2012 and Wed 4th April 2012. There will be no racing on the registration nights but there will be gate practice.
Series 1 starts on: Wed 11th April and runs every Wed for 10-weeks up to and including Wed 13th June. Series 1 BBQ and Pres evening is Wed 20th June.
Series 2 starts on: Wed 27th June and runs every Wed for 10-weeks up to and including Wed 29th August. Series 2 BBQ and Pres evening is Wed 5th Sept.
In the meantime – why not join us for our Club Winter Race Series starting on Sunday 16th October and running on Sunday’s on: 13th Nov, 11th Dec, 8th Jan, 5th Feb and 4th March.
Sunday Club Winter Race Series – Registration between 11:00-12:00. Racing starts 12:30.
